Differences from Link’s Awakening

The Camera Shop

In northern Ukuku Prairie is a Camera Shop possessed by a mouse photographer. At certain times in the match, the photographer can have a photo of Link and the occasion. The photograph can subsequently be looked at at any moment in the photo album within the shop, and the photograph will fade into seven distinct colors when seen. One of the photographs is taken inside the picture store by asking the photographer to take Link’s image, and he’ll ask Link several questions if Link wants his photograph taken. This picture actually has an alternate picture. If Link agrees that he wants his photograph taken, he’ll present with a peace sign. To actually start getting photos, Link will have to visit the photo shop to receive his picture taken. Later, the mouse will give him the photo album. Link is only going to be able to encounter another photo events once he has gotten this picture and the photo record, else the occasions would be dismissed. The mouse won’t take a photo of Link when he has Madame MeowMeow’s Chain Chomp, BowWow; or the Blue Rooster following him. In case Marin is following him, all photos except the ones that call her are inaccessible.

The Color Dungeon

One of the other most noteworthy changes in Link’s Awakening DX is the optional, hidden Color Dungeon. Unlike many other dungeons in the game, it is shorter than many. Link can go in the dungeon when he returns BowWow to Madam MeowMeow after emptying the second dungeon, Bottle Grotto.

Though the upgraded version overall works with preceding Game Boy models, the dungeon contains many puzzles which are tremendously based on actual colours, hence the Color Dungeon cannot be entered when enjoying Link’s Awakening DX over the old versions, thus necessitating the use of a Game Boy Color.
